Sportsnet and SN NOW are bringing wall-to-wall coverage of the upcoming NHL season, and on Tuesday, the network unveiled the full national schedule of games, with more than 150 exclusive national English-language matchups across Sportsnet’s TV channels and SN NOW.
Sportsnet’s national schedule begins on Oct. 11 with all seven Canadian teams opening the season on the same day. First up, the Toronto Maple Leafs clash with the rival Montreal Canadiens from the Scotiabank Arena, while the Ottawa Senators visit the Carolina Hurricanes. Then the Vancouver Canucks host Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers while the Winnipeg Jets head to Calgary to take on the Flames.
This season, Hockey Night in Canada will feature 100 games, including one special Sunday night edition and the All-Star Game. Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada will return, on Jan. 20.
The 2023-24 season will feature 31 national games on Scotiabank Wednesday Night Hockey and 27 national games on Monday Night Hockey.
Sportsnet’s coverage also includes more than 190 regional games as the official regional TV and streaming rightsholder for the Canucks, Flames, Oilers and Maple Leafs. Details of those schedules will be announced at a later date.
In addition to the weekly games, Sportsnet will also be the official home to a number of marquee NHL events:
• 2023 NHL Heritage Classic on Oct. 29.
• 2024 NHL Winter Classic on Jan. 1.
• 2024 NHL All-Star Weekend from Toronto on Feb. 3-4.
• 2024 NHL Stadium Series on Feb. 17-18.
• 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs and Stanley Cup Final.
