The Los Angeles Dodgers have avoided arbitration with Tony Gonsolin after agreeing to a two-year, $6.65 million contract Tuesday with the all-star pitcher, the team announced.
Gonsolin had a career year in 2022 posting an impressive 16-1 record over 24 starts while recording a 2.14 ERA and 119 strikeouts. He was selected to his first All-Star Game.
The 28-year-old from Vacaville, Calif., made his major league debut with the Dodgers in 2019 and helped the club capture the World Series championships the following year.
Gonsolin holds a career 26-6 record, 2.51 ERA and 267 strikeouts over four seasons in Los Angeles.
