The Pittsburgh Pirates have agreed to a one-year, $8 million deal with veteran left-hander Rich Hill, ESPN’s Jeff Passan reports.
Hill, who turns 43 in March, will be entering his 19th big-league season.
The Boston native was 8-7 with a 4.27 ERA and 109 strikeouts in 26 starts for his hometown Red Sox last season.
For his career, Hill is 82-59 with a 3.85 ERA.
The Pirates will become the 12th team Hill has played for in his career.
The Chicago Cubs selected Hill in the fourth round of the 2002 MLB Draft.
